Nevertheless, I want you to believe in what I want to say in the next few lines. One day, almost six months back, while working on a project, I felt extreme pain in my back, and this pain was different from the usual pain in the back. Normally, the pain would go away after a muscle pain killer, but this time medications did not show their effect. For the entire week, I was bed-ridden. I had to take a leave from my office. My entire routine suffered because I had some deadlines to meet. Initially, I thought my stress and continuous sitting on the desk were the reason for begging backache.

The only reason why I am expecting people to learn about my kidney disease journey is to feel motivated and believe this was not the end. Like everyone, I did not want to go for dialysis or either transplant. I wanted to give my health a try. So at first, I opted for natural remedies.

The days passed, and even physiotherapy gave no relief. I was losing energy day by day. Then I started to feel pain while urinating. The symptoms looked similar to urinary tract infections. The similar symptoms I felt two months back while using the washroom in my office. I took the same medicines the doctor gave me earlier and felt little relief.

To my bad, the symptoms relapsed after a few days again. Then, without any further delay, my husband took me to the doctor. He asked for the signs I was suffering and told me to get some medical tests done which were related to the kidneys only after confirming the symptoms I was suffering. Lateron, after the reports came, I was diagnosed with stage 2  chronic kidney disease.

I was upset when I got to know that I could have kidney disease. For me, it meant dialysis or transplant only. My husband and I were planning for another baby. I was a little worried about if I could conceive ever in my life. If I am ill, I would not be able to deliver a healthy baby.

I am lucky enough to have been supported by such a loving family. My husband always assures me that I get the best. He has there for me in every thick and thin. After the reports, we decided to go to Mumbai for the treatment as the medical facilities are quite approachable and better there. Before going, my husband did all the research on the best hospitals in Mumbai and also asked for references among his friends. We consulted each one of them and decided to go for dialysis initially from there only.

After three to four sittings of dialysis, we felt that we have been tied up with the treatment. I have to be on dialysis for the rest of my life and that was not something I expected at such a tender age. I had to be on the same treatment for the rest of my life. This shocked me even more. I cried the whole night, realizing that I could never be pregnant again and that I only have one child. I was troubling other members of my life. Not to lie, I planned to commit suicide. Instead of dying every day, I should die all at once. But then my daughter’s tiny eyes stopped me from doing this to her. It was not her fault. Feeling this, I found the strength and I gathered all the courage to look for alternative approaches.


25 days after we came back home. I did not leave dialysis though I started looking for home remedies. After so much research, I got to know that my kidneys can be given strength with the help of a diet plan and ayurvedic medicines. I started watching the videos of Karma Ayurveda on their YouTube channel.
I felt a near improvement. I stick to the diet plan they were telecasting on their YouTube channel. After we felt the treatment was working on me, my husband booked an appointment with the doctor himself.

The appointment was fixed for the following week. He made all the arrangements for our visit to Delhi. On the appointed date, we arrived at Karma Ayurveda hospital. The lady at the reception told us to wait in the waiting area.

After half an hour, we met the doctor. He looked young to his age, speaking everything in a calm and composed manner.  He looked at all the reports and assured me that I could get better after a while if I was firm on my treatment approach. He made changes in my diet and prescribed medications based on GFR and creatinine level.

He motivated me in numerous ways. We went back to our hometown, the next day. I was so glad to see my little princess waiting for me at the doorstep. This again filled me with energy and I was sure that I will get better for her. I had treatment for two months completely. And my test reports too showed remarkable changes in my health problem. All the parameters which were not in favor improved or normalized.


To conclude I would say that I felt so good after the ayurvedic treatment and now pregnant with a baby. No complication has dispelled my life since then. I am extremely thankful to Karma Ayurveda and Doctor Puneet. Also, it was my husband’s love, care, and support that gave me a new life. I was ready to suicide but perhaps my fate has another plan for me. What I have learned from life since then, is that your hard work what counts. If you want it, you will make it. Do not feel despondent, give your life a new way of living
